Phillip C. Walford

President and CEO, Director

Phillip C. Walford is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation since December 3, 2009. From March 1, 2005 to November 29, 2010 Mr. Walford served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Marathon PGM Corporation. Mr. Walford was as a founder of Marathon PGM Corporation and served as a director from October 2003 to November 2006 and from May 2007 to November 2010. Mr. Walford has held senior management positions at Pamour Porcupine Mines Ltd., LacMinerals Ltd. Geomaque Explorations Ltd., and Hudson Bay Exploration and Development and has extensive international experience in gold and base metal deposits. As a result of his rich global experience, Mr. Walford places high value and importance on lessening risk and has modeled Marathon Gold on this premise.

George D. Faught

Chairman and Director

George D. Faught is a Chartered Public Accountant and Chartered Accountant with over 25 years of senior management experience. Mr. Faught is the Vice-Chairman of Aberdeen International Ltd., a post he has held since June 2012, and served as the chief executive officer of Aberdeen International from November 2005 until June 2012. From November 1999 until October 2005, Mr. Faught was Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of North American Palladium Ltd., a mid-tier Platinum Group Metal producer. In addition, Mr. Faught has served as the Chief Financial Officer of a number of publicly traded companies in the natural resource, financial services and pharmaceutical industries. Mr. Faught has broad financial management, corporate development and operating experience. Mr. Faught also serves as a director of several public companies and served as a director of Marathon PGM Corporation from November 2006 to November 2010.

Joseph G. Spiteri


Joseph G. Spiteri is an independent mining consultant. Mr. Spiteri is the principal of a private mining consultancy firm and has 35 years of experience in advanced-stage exploration, feasibility, construction, operations and acquisitions. Prior to becoming a consultant, Mr. Spiteri held senior management or executive positions with Dome Mines Group, Placer Dome Incorporated, Northgate Explorations Limited, Lac Minerals Limited and Campbell Resources Incorporated. Mr. Spiteri obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Toronto in 1976. Between 1982 and 1984, Mr. Spiteri completed graduate level business courses, on a part-time and correspondence basis from Laurentian University and Dalhousie University. He is a member of The Canadian Institute of Mining and The Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario. From April 2010 to November 2010 Mr. Spiteri served as a director of Marathon PGM Corporation and from May 2010 to October 2011 and from June 2012 to the present date, Mr. Spiteri served as a director of Aurico Gold Inc. (formerly Gammon Gold Inc.).

Julian Kemp


Mr. Kemp holds a BBA degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a Chartered Public Accountant, Chartered Accountant, and Chartered Director. Mr. Kemp has held senior management positions with other junior resource companies with international operations and has over 20 years of experience in the mining industry, including serving in senior financial management roles with several North American junior mining companies with production of gold and coal, and positions with engineering and mining contracting companies. Mr. Kemp has been involved in all stages of mineral development from grass roots exploration to international metals production, including managing companies through all business cycles. Mr. Kemp has also served as a Director for a number of public companies and is currently a Director and Audit Committee Chairman of Rubicon Minerals Corporation and Claim Post Resources Inc.

Douglas H. Bache


Mr. Bache has over 25 years of experience in the resource sector. He is currently President of Maxum Capital Markets Inc. and DHBache & Company Inc., a private investor and provides consulting services to junior mining companies. He is a director of Treasury Metals Inc., a Canadian focused gold exploration and development company. Prior to establishing his consulting practice in 2006, Mr. Bache was a financial and corporate development executive with North American Palladium Ltd. and Inco Limited. He also has extensive experience in mining finance having worked as a banker with two global resource banks. He received a Bachelor of Mathematics - Business Administration degree from University of Waterloo in 1983.
